Works well for me, connected the 1 monitor kvm switch for my laptop through a docking station and gaming desktop, and works without any issue. Also, initially it did need a laptop restart for the monitor to work properly as was showing kind of buzzed out small window, but worked fine after restart. Noticed no additional latency for the kvm outputs, so that’s good.
Just started using it, will give another update in a month.
I rarely write product reviews, but finding a KVM for 4K 144 that is reasonably functional and doesn’t cost $200-400 has been a challenge
I’m writing this in case it helps someone else
I’ve had several KVMs from different vendors, they were all as ‘meh, works I guess kinda sorta’ — and up to 4K@60hz, things were fine
Cue my move to 4K@144HZ: that’s a lot of bandwidth. Surely a $39.99 KVM won’t work, right? Read a few reviews, looks promising, Amazon has a good return policy, so I try it.
Product arrives, I hook it up (use a high quality USB power adapter, I used an old Apple official iPad charger, highest quality chargers in the USB power brick game)— and it works. It works correctly. It works as advertised. It— costs $39.99.
WHAT? Come on! I try my Nuphy Air75 V2 wireless keyboard with the KVM. It. Works. The keyboard shortcuts work… HOME-HOME-Arrow, boom, switch— again. Works. Bose USB audio? Works. Logitech wireless mouse? KVM SON… WHA!?! It. All. Works.
That’s not to say it’s a perfect product. Or that it’s magical. Use high quality, short as you can cables. Watch for interference. Use USB 2.0 ports for the built in ***USB 2.0*** ports. Don’t do dumb things that aren’t the fault of the KVM, then blame it for your documentation/Amazon Review literacy/skill issue. It’s not complicated.
It works, I’m genuinely pleased with it, and after 2 weeks, despite the price and the opaque sourcing, the g-d thing works. And it costs $48.
